Welcome!
Welcome!
I am a knitting addict.
Recovering from years of life threatening addictions was a long hard road, but somehow, knitting always gave me amazing comfort. Realizing that so simple a concept…wrapping yarn around a stick….could make me feel so good about myself, I surmised that this be used as a tool to help others struggling with addiction and need for comfort.
Everyone should have the opportunity to know what it feels like to create something, one stitch at a time; to achieve a state of mindlessness which allows them to share their innermost selves and experience what it feels like when someone looks at their knitting and says “Wow, you made that? That’s awesome!”
Something miraculous happens when a group gets together. Knitting teaches patience, perseverance and collaboration – success is possible despite mistakes along the way, and the camaraderie of a group allows for conversations that might not otherwise be shared. All good healing tools….
The simple act of creating something with your own hands and inspirational stories of success and accomplishment benefits everyone. Here are some of my stories and fabulous original knit patterns. Enjoy!
